We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician / Mechanic to join our team. The Heavy Equipment Technician / Mechanic will be responsible for
troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining JCB and other heavy equipment, including hydraulics, electrical, powertrain, engines, and
emissions systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience work
ing with heavy machinery, and a commitment to safety and
customer service.
Job Responsibilities
:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, skid steers, telehandlers, and backhoes.

Perform maintenance, rebuilds, and reconditioning of machinery components such as hydraulics, engines, electrical systems, and powertrains.

Accurately inspect and determine parts needed for repairs, ensuring work is completed to factory specifications.

Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic reports.

Complete preventative maintenance tasks, including fluid changes, filter replacements, and system checks.

Operate lifting devices safely and efficiently.

Use diagnostic tools and electronic scanning equipment to identify and resolve equipment issues.

Order, exchange, and return parts for assigned jobs in a timely manner.

Maintain proper documentation of repairs, including service reports and work orders.

Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations.

Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.

Communicate effectively with customers, service writers, and management regarding equipment status and recommendations.

Travel to remote job sites as needed to perform field repairs.
Qualifications
:
-
Minimum of 1 year of experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing diesel or heavy equipment.

Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Knowledge of proper repair procedures and troubleshooting techniques.

Familiarization with electronic cables, connections, and sensors.

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license.

Own and maintain basic personal tools required for the job.

Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
-
Bilingual in English / Spanish is preferred for this position.

Previous dealership experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
:

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and varying weather.
